Biography

Roza Horowitz, born in Moscow in 1987, experienced early cultural displacement that would later inform her artistic practice. Her journey from Russia to the Netherlands at age six laid the foundation for themes of identity, adaptation, and cultural heritage that weave through her work.

Horowitz's artistic trajectory reveals a profound evolution, beginning with her formative years at The Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague. Her early work, characterised by an distinctive impasto technique, explored both her Jewish heritage and contemporary observations of her surroundings, creating a dialogue between personal history and present reality.

The artist's transition to London's prestigious Slade School of Fine Art marked a pivotal moment in her practice.
